The product decides the licence path
Thailand regulates cannabis and hemp, and it regulates their extracts. The practical split buyers meet is the THC result. Extracts above 0.2 percent THC by weight are treated as Category 5 narcotics. They may be produced, sold, possessed or exported only for permitted purposes, under a licence, and each export needs its own permission. A ministerial regulation published in 2026, in force from 26 April 2026, tightened who can hold those licences and what they must report.
Material at or below 0.2 percent THC is not a free good. It is still a regulated article, and the party that exports it has to be allowed to do so. Cannabis flower is handled as a controlled herb, with its own licence path, separate from extract. CBD Thai Exports does not publish a flower catalogue. If your file is biomass rather than an extract or a finished good, say that in the enquiry so the licence check is the right one.
What this desk does, and what it does not
We are a brokerage. We do due diligence on the buyer, the destination and whether a vetted manufacturing partner can lawfully supply the specification. We then share pricing and make an introduction. We do not hold ourselves out as the licensed exporter on a public page, and we do not ask you to treat this article as clearance.
You still confirm import law in the destination, including state and city rules where they exist. We may decline a market. Partner names are not published here. A private introduction can name the party whose paperwork will be on the shipment.
Documents to expect when a shipment is real
A commercial file usually includes a commercial invoice, a packing list, a transport document, and a certificate of origin where the destination or your broker asks for one. A certificate of analysis belongs in the set when testing was purchased. Thai permissions that the product requires, including any per-shipment filing, sit with the licensed party. Match names, weights and lot numbers across the papers before freight is booked.
Rules change. This note was reviewed on 31 October 2026 against the public description of the 2026 extract regulation and the controlled-herb framework. Ask counsel if you need advice. For the commercial path, use how ordering works, then send the specification.
